flour Gold
« on: October 30, 2011, 11:41:18 AM »
Im situated in PortAlberni Vancouver Island BC. We seem to have been blessed with gold that is microscopic by design if you are lucky enough to find some, or have the eye sight to see it.lol! I have been told that Vancouver Island in general produces Flour Gold. The other day I see a vid  of a gold tour company around the Mount Washington area and they seemly have panned up consecutively what appears to be very small nugget type gold.I guess my question is:has any one gotten anything other then flour gold from the PortAlberni/Nanaimo district.

The largest island nugget I've personally seen was 7.5grams...I know there's been larger ones...I just haven't found them yet
The gold on china is fine and well travelled...same with nanaimo river... the gold on mineral creek is much coarser
The heavy stuff is on creeks like the piggot.leech, oyster, floodwood
the pic with the dime is piggott gold with the large piece being .3 of a gram the other ones are mineral creek gold...small but coarse
not saying what part of the island the gold in the pan came from but it's very coarse aswell
oh and it's not as big as it looks...the pan is only 3'' across  <-laugh->
The meek shall inherit the earth...but not my mineral rights
