We have used a retort to remove mercury from gold, however does anyone know the process / safely proceedure of using diluted nitric acid to remove mercury from gold? And where one can obtain nitric acid? -thanks-

I got my acid from BEDROCK SUPPLY in Edmonton.
Ive used na to clean mercury. .dangerous fumes.
ACTION MINING.COM gives good information.

One thing l will always remember. ..A&W...acid  TO  water...or kaboom.
 GET INSTUCTIONS FIRST.
