I'm hoping with all this snow we get some high water with lots of big boulder pushing ice to  expose some new  gold. Got to look on the bright side!!

Well the weather just keeps teasing, 2 nice days and then back to the snow and blow, gold pans just showed up and Princess Auto has a sale on nice pick axes. I'm in Rimbey here and grew up around Rocky Mnt House so I'd like to think I'm in  prime territory, for Alberta that is. In any case the fishin pole is never out of reach :) Thanks to all you guys for the warm welcome.

Finally getting some Alberta folks on here. Great to hear. Hope you guys have some luck. I have been playing on the Red Deer river for a while now, and looking forward to this year. Maybe see you out somewhere.
Happy to have achieved Dirty Old Man status. Finally a goal achieved.

Hello Ray4hire!

Glad to see another Albertan into the forums.  I'm a bit north of Edmonton myself.

Good luck prospecting NSR & RD rivers! :)
