hey there,

I am new to prospecting but would really love to get out there and work. I would work hard and have some equipment. I would be willing to work the whole season. I am 28 and  live in Britannia beach BC ( the old copper mine) let me know what you think. I do not own any claims but really want to get out there!

Thanks

Justin

I am not afraid of hand work but having an excavator is always a bonus and I have years of experience running heavy equipment, none the less I do have a pop up tent trailer and a power sluice, pump Minelabe Xterra 705 metal detector, pans , shovels etc... Where are your claims located? I just want to dig!

Here is just a warning ,  Make sure you have the necessary forms to start the project.  Any hand operation is fine but the use of even a small bobcat , cat or tractor  falls under using mechanical recovery. This does require a permit. The permit is free of charge and must be send in to an office somewhere in BC ,  depending on where your claim is situated. After you recieve approval that the form has been accepted , you are free to start digging. Dont do anything outside of the rules as you stand to lose your claim or the right to work your claim ( or  cell's ). I have 8 Cells myself with very nice gold in the Dease Lake area of BC.
am a Geologist by trade , so incase you need some more info , email me back anytime. Your forms may be underway  for several weeks so be prepared for some delays, your working with the Govt. and they dont work  24 - 7 like you and I do.      Good luck and many nuggets.    Jack in Kelowna,BC.

There is usually a bond you have to put up before you dig arounf 3.5k and up. Please let me know if you are getting a permit without the bond? Thanks <-party->

No AL without the 3500$ bond theres no permit,  Doesnt really matter i havent been able to obtain any equipment anyway,so in ill go with my shovel and sluice and who knows maybe next year a  digger might be in order. cheers    <_miner_>

I am also looking for a partner. Have 8 cells in the Dease lake area of Northern BC.  Very nice course Gold with nuggets of up to 3 to 5 ounces found in the past years by the old time miners.  Have been there and build a plywood cabin. Will likely have to rebuild that one . Found even one half ounce nugget with a Metal Detector. Would gfo 50 -50 on all expenses , Food-fuel -transportation etc.  but I do not hve a Cat or Bobcat or tractor with bucket. Will have to drive the cat in after crossing the Dease River. Wtaer is about 1 and a half ft deep where crossing is possible. Have done this before. Then walk the cat in for approx. 45km. to the claims. Also have used small aircraft or choppers from Dease Lake townsite where there is an Airport. I live in Kelowna and you can email me at anytime.I am a Geologist by trade and are retired. Have plenty of bush experience. I do have a 12 vold generator and sluicebox. It's a thought I am trying to hang onto as I have gone this path many times before. The price of gold is too good to let slip by without given it the right working over it derserves. No hard feelings if nothing comes of this , but I am serious and willing to even wait for this year .  There is after all a lot to do and orginize before one gets in the right direction.   Cheers mate and hope to hear from you.   Sincerely yours ,  Jack  Altenburg , in Kelowna , BC
