how good is that detecter for picking up gold,  does it pick up flakes, or just nuggets

You'll get nugget, smaller surface gold, no discrimanation, intereference... etc

Its not a pro detector, its an affordable alternative that will find you gold... and alot of other stuff  ;D

Hi, M1tch,
Looks like page 9 indicates 10"-12" for coins if you are really good, and with the smaller coil.
If you build the larger, more elliptical coil, that page indicated a tad deeper, but really good on coin hunting.

I don't know enough about electronics to know how to discriminate between metals---until i see them all dug up that is.  Then, I can recognize a nickle from a nail from a pull-tab. <-laugh->  I dig all signals, what can I say?

        Could anybody with an electrical background put the PDF instructions into english? I have know idea what these items are but I would like to try and build it.
