Cut the head off the club, epoxy a rare earth magnet to it and check tailings for meteorites....

I carry my ball retriever (used for fetching golf balls out of water hazards) to get those elusive large nuggets off the bottom of the creek.  That way I don't get my feet wet and it saves a lot of time.  lol!!!@*  [^Crazy!#]

Nice find greywolf! and got me thinking.... I hate carrying buckets full of wet dirt on a long hike back.... a golf bag caddy with big wheels might be the answer!!!

I picked one of these carts up for US $5 at a garage sale.  I like the wide wheel base.  Sturdy but not so wide that it won't fit through a narrow stretch of trail.  Has anyone put larger tires on one of these?  Maybe knobby tires from a kid's bicycle?    I'd have to think it would work better out in the field.  "Trails" in the Mother Lode often = trekking across cobbles, tailings, over logs, all sorts of stuff.  Bigger wheels would have to help.

My kid brother built a little machine that I cant pronounce an arbolette or something, like the old war machines to throw huge rocks but this one throws golf balls hard enough to take out a picture window down the street. It is quiet so you could blast rock all day and no one would know???
Anyway my question for the day:
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
I went down to the creek, put on a sloppy old hat, sun bleached paid shirt, muddy jeans with holes in the knees, worn out and leaky rubber boots, 4 days whiskers on my chin and didnt shower for the week before. I held my pan in the water and stayed at in until it was tooo dark to see. I had to quit because I was hoarse. But  I rattled my pan around and shouted "heeeere Nuggy, Nuggy Nuggy....!!! Until I couldnt shout no more but nothing happened ???????
