I'm assuming that you are using the blue bowl to seperate the gold from the black sands.  Why not just classify the black sands out?

It is always a great place to start
Naps are wasted on toddlers, only an adult can appreciate them. Looking for mine now.

I'll show you how I classify out black sands.  I'll post a video in the video forum.

With respect to the water quantity question posted earlier I've found that the depth of the water does not need to be increased as the diameter gets larger so the increase in volume is not as great as if if was a direct proportional upscale. Also I've run some experimental lashups where I had relatively shallow water depth. It appears the velocity of the vortex is the critical factor. Of course it goes without saying that you still have to have enough inflow to equal the outflow. I think the maximum practical size limit is somewhere around 30 to 32 inches in diameter and then water supply volume becomes more than is practical. Velocity can be handled by having more than one jetted input tube.

Yeah Gary I was kind of wondering about the idea of two or more inlets, would help to balance out some of the issues of maintaining lebel water flow which is kind of critical, as well as maintaining the speed needed to creat the vortex for the suction, found if you're of in direstion withthese that the BB doesn't perform as well as it can......Guest
