20$ homemade sluice box mod
« on: January 23, 2010, 12:44:40 AM »
OK here my first sluice box a made after I started prospecting in may 2009.

So its not to pretty but it works.. the riffles are built right into the box and then scrubby pad and expanded wedged beetween the riffles.
So its winter going a little nuts so I think I'll mod the sluice.

Here's another one of my favorite welcome mats 2.00$ cdn at the dollar store grabbed some thumb tacks for a dollar to tack the mat in the box..

Small expanded over ribbed carpet then bigger expanded over ribbed rubber and small expanded......

So pretty easy 2 dollars for bungee cords to hold in the mesh and rug 2.00 for rubber mat 1.00 for the tacks and had a little extra rug and expanded lying around there ya have it 5..00 dollar sluice mod hope you guys like it.:D

After having seen your first sluice in action, with surprisingly good results, I have no doubt your new and improved models will work even better.
