I am looking for information on gold mining or panning in Oklahoma.  I understand there has been some activity in SW oklahoma and wonder if anyone is familiar with the area.

Hi Chandlersheep and Welcome to the forum  cool
I hear Turner Falls has fine gold but I think it's a Park so you might want to check into the Laws about prospecting in the parks.
I hope that helps  Smiley

Welcome aboard. Here is a quote from another post from OK.
"And the other is Wildman in Kiowa county, there's nothing left there its been metaldectected to death. Close to it is the Goldbelle cyanide wash remains, kinda neat place to see but again detected to death. I've found gold near there and in Tillman county on Otter creek."
Hope this helps direct you to the yellow stuff. Good

Sluicemonkey,  Any problems in accessing the Otter Creek area?  Looking for chance to leave my sheep for a day or so and head that way.
Thanks for info.
