Cool articles.Does help with the heavy mineralization in the area and explains the garnets I been finding.Maybe the deposists in the old man orginate locally.I felt these deposists orginate in the crowsnest mountains and I am still going to explore those possibilties.I need to make a trip to milk river and try out my luck panning for some diamons maybe? The article does not mention gold but diamonds have been found in a pan before!!Thanks gold digger!!

evinin rockpup. just ran across this old thread. wondering if you did any good on the milk. i was born in glasgow and raised in my younger years on the familys cattle ranch on the milk river out of hinsdale. i remember seeing lots of neat old indian camps along the bluffs while riding fence lots of agates also. my grandfather billingsley was the first sheriff of valley county. i also remember lots of prickley pear. . ouch. havent been back there for 40 years. still the family ranch. may have to go down for a visit someday. take care.  jerry
