perry creek area
« on: June 30, 2009, 05:04:00 PM »
hey guys I own a claim on perry creek. I'm around the 20km marker. I've been doing some bench work and finding very small amounts of colour. I'm wondering if anyone knows this area. and knows at what depth have people been pulling out some better gold.

Been a long time - where are you in relation to the falls?
What the heck - lets just keep mixin' stuff together till it blows up or smells REALLY bad!

I'm up around the 20km marker. the falls is at 8km. It's quite different up where I am. I'm not sure how deep bedrock is. It's more kinda marshy I'm just sampling bench gravels for the time being. I'd like to know exactly how deep to dig on the benches. Where abouts I would find the best concentrations.

I bet your finding float gold. The bigger stuff was near the falls(jewerly box). They used to find tear drop shaped nuggets below the falls.I was offered to buy a claim further up river, but I know bedrocks deep and its spotty at best.Thats what i been told.I now there is gold there, but I do beleave its all deep digging.

I recently got 2 claims on perry creek, below the falls, right where the st. mary river road crosses perry creek pretty much. Have been out there a few times already, found a couple small specs on one of the creek bends. But I have a several dry creek beds all over my claim, several logjams and logs laying across the actual creek bed forming weirs. Only thing is i haven't found any bedrock exposure yet and i do not know how deep down it is. There are no really big rocks either, just all cobbles the size of a football or smaller.
