How Do the Seasons Affect Placer Gold Movement ?
« on: January 26, 2008, 12:24:54 PM »
Possibly not considered by many, but the seasons do play a significant role where placer gold, platinum and silver seeks out their elusive hiding spots.  By example, float gold - - which doesn’t stop as a creek or river ices over, thus altering the course and transport or such transient bodies.  And the same course-changes, logically, would denote where water currents would alter from the norm, bringing about out-of-the-way resting place for nuggets.

Other point-of-view and considerations welcomed.
Somebody said that it couldn't be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That maybe it couldn't but he wouldn't be one
Who'd say so until he had tried.

You are absolutely right about seasonal changes! It is amazing to me that so few people work benches in many areas. They can be very productive.
