Good build I see you have put some time into it , LOL a tad more than I have even with the wood stove out here at -20 c its hard to get my butt out in the shop on weekends Heres a Trommel Ive been working on but a much smaller version gona go with V belt drive and a Windshield washer motor 12 volt and high torque. sorry the shop is such a mess Got 15 things on the go at the same time LOL Great pics

Great job on that SnowSpider comin along great.I'm powering mine with a wiper motor to but chain drive next one might be belt drive I like the idea of the belt slipping if a rock jam's up.

Yes I thought about rock jams too but on the more enjoyment side Its much quieter with the V belt Im guessing and much easyer to find Pullys of diff size than sprockets and matching chain... Im prolly going to use my 5.5 Gas Water pump to power it now that Ive got the durn thing working right LOL may give it a test run as soon as the ice breaks up in Devon or Genissee Devon is good but crowded and Gennissee under the bridge is showing some really good colour and much quieter Ahhh but the dream spot is still unaccessable due to a lack of a boat LOL a big gravel Island in the middle of the river just up here by Thorsby I can hear the gold calling me and the trommel to come and play LOL

The pic's if they come thru?? are of the spiffy 12V trommel I made this winter.
It's frame is made from 3/4 inch copper pipe cause I can't weld worth a darn but boy can I solder.
