I break rocks all day for fun, so your suggested solution is too good for these folks.  Actually, the only good thing about so much scamming that everybody is now tuned in.  There are so many scams that most people are aware and very wary.

What baffles me is the cost. How do they get it for free? They use thousands of hours of Cell or internet time. All calls from any where in the world always come thru a ontario based phone system(another puzzle)The CRA scammers worked out of a shack in India for five years.Surely ther would be some kind of phone bill attached? These guys are calling 24/7.If I go above my alotted time I am cut off.Just saying.Luck ,Mcbain.

I understand that they IP thru the internet and pop out into the local phone system giving them a local shared phone number.   There are web sites that allow this "service".  So they have no long distance or other charges.  It is just a matter of numbers.  They call and call and call, looking for the one mark (not Mark) who falls for the scam.

I read a news article on a recent reverse scam - pretty interesting.

A young Irish guy was called on a securities scam - and he knew exactly what the story really was.  The scammer guy wanted a thousand Quid as part of the scam and the young guy told him that he would set up a bank account to receive the "Big Profits" after he "Bought into" the deal.  Then, the young guy told the scammer that the Irish bank wouldn't allow any transaction to go out to the scammer through because it suspected a scam.  The young guy said that in order to "buy in" to the deal the scammer had to make a token deposit into the Irish bank account.  At that point the scammer sent 25 Quid to the bank account which the young Irish guy withdrew, closing the account and making a donation to a cancer non-profit organization.

Net result - the scammer was scammed and the money went to charity.   lol!!!@*
