Checking out our claim on the historic Granite Creek. Old cabins, trailers, and remains of old mining equipment are scattered everywhere.

Well, the verdict is in. If any of you guys have ever been to Granite Creek, the coarse gold and nuggets are on bedrock. Bedrock can vary from a couple of feet, to over 20 feet. Needless to say, we did not come even close to hitting bedrock and our cons yielded a dismal .25 grams for a yard and and a half of material.

As disappointing as this may seem, we pretty much expected this and we were not really surprised by the outcome. Will take us a while to pot a hole down to bedrock unless we go in with an excavator. More to come on this claim for sure as it was an ex-legacy claim and we are very optimistic it will yield good gold.
