Lol! crush to dust,is not in my labidary plans. lol!!!@*  Sent a Geo I know a pic =his answer  The red colour is usually from iron oxides (of which hematite is one).  There are other possibilities, but that is the most likely, particularly in Sicker volcanics.  This be good enough for me,Im lookin my area for different rock to work with. <-thinking->

I have some similar quartz veins on my place. Most are near felsic dikes running parallel. I've had a couple of assays done and it runs 4-5 grams per ton gold. I have never seen any free gold in it though and I have looked at a lot of it because it is so pretty and unusual. It is associated with biotite and schorl tourmaline. Some also has a purple mineral with it. I will try to post a picture or two, but I am having a hard time posting pics tom this site.

I cannot get any pics to post. I tried one pic that was 3.26 mb and it would not go through. I have not been able to post for a while now, but I used to have no problem as long as I kept it to 2-3 pics. Something wrong.
