Hi.Having seen the pans. There is nothing spcial about them.Like all companies trying to break into a new market you will not find reviews unless some one actually buys them.Just like the sluice that is illegal in B.C.Just saying.Luck Mcbain.
I started out with nothing Istill have most of it.

Hi.J.D. what you have is nowhere close to what jg is looking for.A new company started up in B.C. Canada a while back. They bought the rights to the Angus. That being said I checked their site last year.Got  a vidieo tour of the plant but not much else. And I do not see any body selling the product. <-unsure_> <-dont~know-> <-dont~know-> <-dont~know->.Luck,Mcbain.

The entire Angus MacKirk operation was sold to the new Canadian company that Mark accurately mentioned.  That entire "Angus MacKirk" brand of products is now sold through distributor stores only, and a quick web search easily identifies those dealers.  Gary Farmer ("Angus MacKirk") retired and is not in the business any more.

This information came directly from personal, private correspondence with Joel Farmer - the son of Gary Farmer - who sold his separate "US Prospector" line to a former, chief distributor, quite some time ago.  Joel now mines in the Western US.

Just the way things happen in the big old business world.   <-dont~know->

Johnedoe, I also have one of the "Bumpy Pans" and have used it while panning with Joel at a mining operation years ago.  I never was able to spend the time to get good with it - but Joel, WHOOOEEE was he good with it!

The new "Horseshoe" pan as well as the finish pan seems interesting - but it all comes down to simply, what works best is what you use all the time.

Hi Guys.Lets face some facts. There are many different pans out there and all claim to be the newest best slicer and dicer on the block.Only one problem, you got to learn to pan.The panner makes the pan.The pan does not make the panner.
#1 the good old fashion metal pan.Do not know how to use it,Loose gold.
#2 the garrett river sluice.Do not know how to use it loose gold.
#3 the Fossicker.Same applys.
#4 the Chinese cone same applys.
#5 the austrailian Claw same applys
#6 The good old fashioned chevy hub cap.Works great if you know how to pan.Same as grandmas pie plate.
You should be getting the picture by now. just saying Luck Mcbain.
I started out with nothing Istill have most of it.
