Interesting. ..

After some reading...these gpr's don't go deep enough in wet soils ?

 Dry sandy soils or massive dry materials such as granite, limestone, and concrete tend to be resistive rather than conductive, and the depth of penetration could be up to 15-metre (49 ft). In moist and/or clay-laden soils and materials with high electrical conductivity, penetration may be as little as a few centimetres.

So what your saying  is gpr would work better in dry desert rather than wet forest?

GPR is being affected by soil dielectric. Typically the wetter the area the worse for GPR.  This does not mean that GPR doesnt work over wet soils. The killing factor for depth penetration is salts content in soil and not that much water. A combination of water and salt though as you understand gives you almost no depth penetration.
