Yalakom area NW of Lilooet

Hi guys,

I was interested in the relatively recent gold history of this area and wondered if anyone knew whether it was worth my while sampling around or should I just go to Yale reserve again as it's a bit of a drive from Port Moody.

There was a few fairly large auriferous gold veins found in the area of the Yalakom River, but that whole area was mostly staked up by the Bridge River Mining group. Not much in the way of placer gold.

You are better off sticking to the Fraser River. Anywhere on the Fraser will get you color in your pan.

Happy Hunting!
