We Lost Patty
« on: January 18, 2019, 07:30:35 AM »
We lost Patty to liver failure .For those of you who know who this Miner was, know that some people are just happier by themselves.A hermit miner would be an understatement.A kinder more gentler sole you could walk this earth and never find.He was amazed at cell phones, and often told stories of how everything had changed, for himself he just was never able to adjust. For Patty i post this song ,he listened to it over and over at camp.He also was fascinated that there was such a thing as a Gold Forum.Though he was too blind to read,he loved nothing more than just listening to me read old posts. His fav was Golly ,why of course! Sometimes you get to meet amazing people for just a short time.Patty here is your favorite song.

It seems that we all lost a treasured asset, Deadwood, I hope that some day others will remember you and me as fondly as you remember your long time buddy, Patty.

There is certainly nothing wrong with Patty keeping to his self in this world, but to also share thoughts with a friend like you makes that friendship all the deeper.

I have an elder miner friend just like Patty - and I cherish the time we spend together every mining season.  I almost lost him a year ago but, somehow, he managed to fight his way back - albeit ornerier than ever.
