Metal detecting
« on: October 02, 2016, 02:21:56 AM »
I have a white gmt and it's not bad but I'm looking for more depth penetration could I wind a bigger coil and not confuse the Dsp or should I look for a more powerful detector for this . I have a two box metro tech 480 but not sure my research says it'll only pick up large objects

The GMT is a good machine.  A larger coil on it will get somewhat better depth.  The compromise with a larger coil is it will not find really small stuff and it is more difficult to pinpoint a target.  The two box is for finding quite large targets and be prepared to dig deep holes that might have buried junk.

That pretty much says it all, Sunshine. Thumbs up!
