Chase-Squilax-Enderby advice?
« on: August 26, 2018, 10:07:29 AM »
Heading out this week, FINALLY got permission from landowner on Mt. Squilax to go up the agate trail and will be in the area for a couple of days on a family road trip.  Any other must see/hike areas? We usually just surface pick geodes along the little shushwap river where we stay.
We have pans but don't know anyone with claims to get permission to goof around with the kids
Would love any info or contacts on the area!
We're detouring from 16 west out of Edmonton and taking our time getting there if there's anything of note en route as well.
I tried hiking to get in shape but came back a few stones heavier 🤔

Squilax  mountain is closed  Just talked my friend Bill who as the only entry up there  The fire marshal told him maybe in three weeks they may open up ? Plus you would need a good 4by4   Check out China Valley  close to Turtle Valley   no gold but lots of cool rocks  All the best in your ventures
