hand mining regulations
« on: August 17, 2018, 09:04:54 PM »
Howdy!
 a question..
I have been " out of the loop" for quite some time so I was inquiring to  Mineral titles concerning if one could still use a 1-1/2 inch hose and pump hand mining without a permit and bond, as it used to be  one could do so..
The reply I got from mineral titles was a big surprise, as THEY DIDNT KNOW!!
This was the reply that I received from mineral titles---

Thank you for your email.  I am not sure what iteration of the Mineral Tenure Act or Mineral Tenure Act Regulation applied that permitted this without a permit but if you could provide this information, I can look into the matter further.

I was asking them if it were still allowed and instead of them giving  ME  information, they replied with a question!!
anyone out there know if it is still allowed to use a  1-1/2 inch pump without a permit and bond????
thanks..

If you are in a job and you don't know something--you try to find out...--
So who do you notify that you are working??

Hi.Nite  hawk.Nothing has changed in the last six years.some rules maybe but they do not seem to know that.and they do not amount to much as far as hand mining goes. You got A valid claim and fmc. carry on the same as before.Submit a sow when the time comes.that is the only report you need.Just brush up on the new rules for submitting your sow.Other than that carry on Mining.Luck,Mcbain.

Hi nite hawk
The use of a 38mm (1.5") pump is part of the "Environmental Management Act" ,"Placer Mining Waste Control Regulation" of BC
http://www.bclaws.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/107_89/search/CIVIX_DOCUMENT_ROOT_STEM:(placer)?5
When BC introduced the new Water Management legislation there were some questions if that affected hand high banking.  Basic same old same old as others have said.

Hi.Guys most of you know that I workerd for the goverment for years.I learned a lot.Ask know questions get know lies.Know the basic rules and use commen sence and carry on.If confronted demand anything in writing.Chances are the snot nosed punk is making up rules as he goes.He is a wanna be cop and trying to push his weight around.that is the main reason I quit the goverment.I seen too much of that crap.Again get it inwriting and tell himyou will see him in court. chances are  it will never happen unless you are in the wrong.Luck Mcbain.
