Gold displays
« on: June 13, 2018, 07:48:51 PM »
Hi folks,

Just wondering what people use to display their findings.  I've been browsing online for ideas of how to display mine (the little amount that I have) as I would like to put it in something a little more presentable other than just only in a vial on the shelf.
I found and like this one but they are all sold out and no one is responding to my I inquiry.

Cheers

I use these Watchmakers cases, which can be found at LeeValley (and ordered on-line if you wish) and are relatively inexpensive.

Oh no.  That is awful!  A hard lesson to be learned for sure.
I have a few other collectables.  I keep them up on a shelf out of reach of the kiddos.
I'd like to think that they'd know better, but we all know that isn't true.

First a chipper shredder   <~ShOcK~>

follow that up with a recirculating Gold Hog highbanker   {cool^sign}

then use a multi sluice    <-yes_>

finish by hand panning   <-yahoo_>

Afterward take the "tailings" outside onto a tarp to compost them for 3 years   [&whistle#]

 and then re-run them.   <-laugh->

Hi.Guys.A vaccum with a paper bag.I simply worked everthing hard and burned the bag and panned it out.I got 95% recovery except for a little nugget that went missing.Apparently they were washing that inthe bathroom sink too make it brighter.I tore out the goose neck under the sink but it was gone.Now there is a moral to this story Who to blame?The kids of coarse.Wrong.I was the idiot that left the shiny stuff out where they could find it.They thought they were doing good and they did.I know folks that would punish those kids.I could not.I was the fool.Luck Mcbain.
