Manitoba treasure hunting, gold prospecting
« on: January 01, 2008, 10:54:36 AM »
Is anyone familiar with prospecting or treasure hunting in Manitoba? I am located in Winnipeg and have not heard of any clubs for this recreation.

Just some info on the 3 clubs. I belong to the Mineral Society of Manitoba (MSM), and The Winnipeg Rock & Mineral Club. the other Rock of Ages Lapidary Club is for retirees only, and you have to be in your 60's or 70's to join, I can't remember the exact age, they told me when I inquired about joining.

The most active and well organized is the MSM, but all the clubs talk to each other, go on field trips together, and several people are members of multiple clubs like me.
Licking rocks and looking for color.
