Replying to a few statements that were made earlier.
#1. The gold I found was moved and stashed away at a closer/easier location to retrieve it later. I didn't take it out with me because of the situation I was in when I came out, knowing that if they searched my pack and found a few pounds of gold nuggets in a cloth sack that I would lose it and be charged for removing gold from a park.
#2. For the simple reason that once others know of this location, it will become overrun by gold seekers and I want to have time to gather as much Pictures and Videos as I can as well as get gold. Therefore Pictures of the area will only be published in my book. (Slomach's Mine Revisited).

A trip back into the Mountains is scheduled  for 2018 as soon as the snow clears enough to get in.  If you really want to see a couple pictures that I took, then feel free to text me @ 780-380-3354.

allsounds good.but a pound of gold is worth in the nieghbour hood of 400.000.00 dollarsYou found Acouple pounds and moved it to a new location and hid it.You could have gotten away with a little bit in your back or pockets just to back up your storey.Park or not nobody leaves that much behind.Sounds like the saga continues.Luck Mcbain.

And so you didn't.  Good thinking, sir, especially under "The Circumstances" you found your self under.

Maybe a Sat Phone might provide a little security on your next trip in.   <-dont~know->

I remember when everyone thought that the RCMP had to be present when you cleaned your sluice.
Only someone with a tin foil hat would think they were going to be searched at a park border, there are no park police - never has been. Only a few dozen COs in the province and I have only been checked once for a fishing licence even though I ice-fished every day right beside a highway for several years. COs usually go out when there is a complaint or set up road blocks during hunting season etc, never heard of a pack check.
Who is to say you don't just go around with pounds of gold in your pack because you don't trust leaving it at home under the mattress.
But then.............I have heard even stranger but true stories.
