Well I just built a new riffle system from greywolf design, 1/2 inch flat bar at 3 inch spacing set at 30 degrees forward. this i put over  drywall rain screen, no expanded metal,My sluice is about the same as yours, nice job you did. I have built a boiler box that fits the sluice and works great pUT SOME RUBBER IN AFTER YOUR SLICK PLATE CHEERS MYGRAIN

better half helped me figure out how to get the pics. here
nice looking but I would suggest that you run the expanded metal the other way.
