Vey nice looking sluice minkos61!!!  {cool^sign}

You going to put some matting or miners moss in it?

hmmm......What if under the existing expanded metal you ran a smaller strip of expanded? would it help ensure entrapment of the fine stuff?

Hi seeker thanks for the come back. Yup putting ribbed matting before riffles then miners moss under expanded metal. As far as putting smaller expanded under the other expanded have to give it a try (yuh never know!) Thanks for the imput Ernie

Nice sluice build Minkos61, good to hear you've done your homework. The 15deg. will give a nice vortex. The only thing I'm curious about is the direction you chose to run your expanded?
You'll always wonder unless you dig it

I like your sluice looks good just about  the same as mine.I had the same riffle system and that didnt work worth a bean so I changed it so the l edge was a tent with center pointing up 45 degree slope works like a hot dam now.I use rib rubber first,rib carpet next then 2 bays of expanded metal and carpet. Iallso opend up the end riffle. now i am making a boilerbox for it
