Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and after browsing a bit there is an impressive wealth of knowledge and information here.  I've always been curious about prospecting and I'm really looking forward to learning anything I can about this new hobby!

Its so nice finally finding a place with so much information, and sharing. I`m  from the arctic parts of Norway, and we have gold here to. But here is little interest in prospecting and goldwashing. So here isn`t any knowledge locally. We have fine gold, and someplaces decent amounts of it. So I`ll try putting together something lightweight that works on small gold, and also hopefully can move some decent volumes of dirt.

If anyone has suggestions, I`ll be all ears :-)

Hi NorTom welcome to the forum.

If you google popandson sluice you will find plans for a fine gold recovery system. Although I built one I ended up converting it to a highbanker as the 12" wide x 4' long was a bit big for my finishing sluice. After the hopper, plumbing and legs were installed it wasn't exactly light weight. Depending on what you consider decent amount of dirt consider down sizing the whole design.

It does work on fine gold.

Lot's of luck

Greetings Tom, and welcome to GPEX!  <-wave->

Where abouts are you in Norway (general area only)? I've read of a few folks who do some mining in norther Finland, but not sure what parts.
