selling gravel and stone
« on: September 21, 2015, 06:56:17 PM »
Does anyone here know if we can sell rocks for building or landscaping from our placer claims here in B.C?  Would it help to hold the mineral claim as well as placer?  I have some pretty nice looking cobbles and river worn stone/ boulders in my gravels that would hold monetary value for sure, not to mention thousands of truck loads of gravel. Isn't ore considered something that can be mined for profit? I know pallets of split river rock can be worth decent $ if you have the market.

Hi not allowed unless you can get a gravel and rock  permit over your claim.Mining covers the removal of minerals only.Rock and gravel is another ball game. You can have your claim desagnated as gravel pit But that sets you up for another set of rules.Luck Mcbain.
I started out with nothing Istill have most of it.
