Brass and Tungsten on the fraser
« on: September 19, 2015, 07:21:39 PM »
Hi. Guys I am having a real tough time with this one. This is hearsay and I do not know the truth. But something too watch for.A machinist that is mad at life thinks it is real fun to dump his brass drilling and tungsten bits into the river at Quenell. He apparently dumps buckets full.Fresh brass will look like gold and stay in your pan so will the other stuff.Good thing is brass will tarnish fast and look green.Tungsten can be tested with a hammer. It is so hard a hammer strike will dent the hammer. This is just a warning for some thing too look out for.If I find out it is true I will have the guy charged.Luck Mcbain.

They use Brass Bits at Fort Langley to demonstrate gold panning, a lot of young people learning to pan there from schools are disillusioned by brass thinking they are walking away with gold.

Mark you need definite proof to charge this guy, like a witness or pictures of him dumping the stuff.

Good Luck and if true I hope he can be charged.

Maybe one of them will file for a " Brass Mine " or a " Tungsten Mine " and clean it all up
