I'll add tip # 28. I've worked in the collision industry for over 30 years. In that time I've bought and sold many vehicles. I've found a good chunk of change is 2 of the vehicles I've restored.

With regards to #28 - heard of a guy bought a car @ auction - started to clean it up - good sized bag of coke under one of the seats    <-shock_>  And of course, turned it in accordingly.
Work smart..and hard

This topic is fantastic.
I'd like to add
Inside electrical boxes on lightswitches. If you take the cover off there is space there.
Window sills. In older houses the sill was the last to go on.
I popped a sill off once and found lovely treasures. Mostly kids treasures, but also a large chunk of green fluorite and some fools gold hidden in a window sill.

The wife and I bought a used cash register at an auction to use at our garage sales. Inside we found several times more in cash than what we paid!  ;D

Great post, rockpup!!
