Got out last weekend for a few hours of outcrop prying and beach panning.

Happy little picker.

Just under half an ounce.
Every year I get a bit more,
this year learning more on
cracks and joints as good
hiding places.  Beach is consistent
with fines, hit or miss on the outcrop.
Gold is good.

McBain, I think there is more gold on that dime than on Oak Island, bunch of fools chasing rumors.

Here are some pics of two outings in late August.  I see a round spherical nugget,
likely bird shot.  But why is it gold?

Where I am is in the old workings and there is steel and iron all over the place.
I found the heads of a few sledge hammers, a few irons for pressing clothes, Old
stove top style, and much undescribed metal on this beach, I figure the metal
detector would sing like a bird.  Also mucho pyrite, both regular and arseno, not
sure if that would interfere.  I have been thinking of looking into a detector but
would have to start off basic.  Wonder if you can dial in for gold only?
Long piece in the picture is pure copper.
