Nice shots! I really got to get a macro lens for my camera. Or even a magnifying glass for that matter. I want to see as much as the gold I can!! <-shock_>

Was out once in January, once in April and just the past two weekends.
Here are some pics of the results.  Was working cracks in the outcrop
on Saturday.  Yielded a couple of nice pieces.

Good eye there doonhamer.
I have actually seen a gold crystal from underground at the Dickenson Mine in Balmertown, now Goldcorp.
It grew in a vug, or open space in the rock. I remember it made the cover of the Annual Report.  Pretty rare.

It was like a garnet.  Similar to the one in this pic.

My sense is, the one I panned is just flat on one side.
