hi from bc
« on: January 30, 2009, 10:48:14 PM »
Hi everybody!

I just moved to BC recently (july) from Austria and I am a total newb to prospecting  <-unsure_>. I have been collecting fossils and "pretty" rocks since I was a little kid :D, but thats it ... not much mining going on anymore in Tyrol (western province of Austria) only some old salt and silver and Ichtyol mines... I live in Chilliwack/Sardis now and I was wondering if anyone of you could give me any advice on where to go gold panning in the area. I only want to do some rec. panning... maybe do some bigger stuff later on :D

btw: this is probably the best prospecting forum on the internet! :D

There is a recreational panning area not to far from you on the Fraser R. in Hope, BC  Not bad for fine/flour gold  {cool^sign}

 Location of this, and other rec areas here.. BC rec claims

 {-up-} Add on private property, or on mineral or placer claims to the exceptions... then yeah <-yes_>

You can hand pan anywhere than does not fall under any of the above  {cool^sign}
