Building fine gold highbanker - looking for supplies
« on: March 13, 2015, 10:50:27 AM »
Hello everyone!

I'm located in Edmonton and am looking for 1/4" and 1/8" circle screen. Thickness should be somewhat firm. The purpose for these screens Is to replace the grizzly bars on my hopper. I'd like to classify my material relatively fine before it hits the sluice.  Furthermore, my current set up is made out of riveted furnace ducting and it's flimsy and weak. Does anyone have any suggestions for strong lightweight material to build the frame of my hopper? And where to get it.

Cheers

Is weight an issue?  If not, there are many materials you could reinforce with.

Screen will cause you some grief...grass, twigs, weeds will get caught & need to be removed. Grizzly bars set for your gold size + is better, cleans easily too. I know this because..... :-[
