dose anyone have tips on the whites gmt

Dose any one have any tips on the whites gmt or would like to meet up some time at the sooke  river to detect i have been out a few times but I do quite get the GMT's setup yet
A good friend will come bail u out of jail, but a true friend would be sitting beside u sayin, Man we Screwed Up.

I ve got one but all I ve ever found was change at the lake <-dont~know->

They re meant to be good though. Im on the mainland :(

I don't have a GMT, but have had other Whites machines.  Only advise is make sure your batteries are fully charged and black tape your cables so they don't move.  Ground balance as best you can.  Learn with the hot rocks in your area look like and try to kick them aside (visually avoid them if you can).  You have a good machine, especially if the ground is not too mineralized.
