I'm going to settle in the Northern end off Vancouver Island and dedicate a couple of years to the area. If there is anyone out there with first hand knowledge or someone interested in some sort of joint venture or association. I have great faith in the area and can think of no place nicer that I have had the opportunity to explore.

Try around Zeballos and if you can go out to Brooks peninsula area there is big history of gold in creeks there. It is a park so its a panning show, but Zeballos  has major gold history. I think there is a junior exploration company in there now doing work. You would drive thru zeballos to go to Fair Harbour to launch your boat to go to Brooks Peninsula but be aware you have to travel down tashish Inlet out to Kyuquot, then down the open pacific coast for 40-50 kms before reaching brooks peninsula. however once there, that is THE most WEST you can get in Canada on land. Next stop japan.
