compare suction nozzles

Using the same high volume pump would there be a difference between a  1.5 suction nozzle and a 2" nozzle if the nozzle outlet hose remained at 1.5" ?   <-unsure_>

Why would you have a 2" nozzle and a 1.5" hose between the nozzle and the sluice?  I think that you would have major rock jams in the hose.

The intake of the nozzle would also remain the same as it has barriers to keep out larger rocks because of potential jams.  But I've noticed that the volume of material going thru the 1.5" hose could be increased.  Therefore just wondering if the increase in nozzle size would produce more suction to have more throughput.

I think you need to increase pump pressure (not volume) to increase vacuum @ the nozzle.
Work smart..and hard
