BLM's CA Public Room:
Public Information, Bureau of Land Management California

Good stop for BLM information

Geocommunicator:
http://www.geocommunicator.gov/NILS-PAR ... jsp?MAP=MC

This like goes directly to the mining claim mapping page.

BLM's LR 2000:
LR2000- BLM

Lands and Records database.

Make sure to call the BLM before heading out.. Don't base claim info on what is on the LR2000 system, database is inaccurate.

You are correct that the LR2000 is incorrect as it can take over three months for the info to be updated into it. The biggest problem is that when you go to BLM to get any info, they run right to the LR2000 program. Any info that you get from the BLM is just a best guess by them.

In the U.S. you should always double check claim ownership information at the local county recorder's office.

Good luck.
