I have just started with metal detecting and was trying some settings... this is what I found in an hr in my back yard.. I  am thinking there is a chain to go with the saint christopher medal....

why yes it's a Whites DFX , how did you know? ha.. 
I'm having fun with it. .. but need the parks to clear and I think I'll wait for end of summer to check our beaches. I've found alot of metal caps, iron bits and pieces and alot of pull tabs but I don't give up easily!
I usually leave the change on a log or where some kid can find it.. I'm after gold or silver mostly or even if it's a super old boat piece.. as in this picture of the ships graveyard not far from home.. Karen

Very cool. I'm looking forward to getting out this summer and seeing what I can find at some of the beaches around here
