250 Kilovolt Rock Disaggregator
« on: August 05, 2012, 03:08:21 PM »
I built this to remove diamonds / kimberlites from drill rock, and have just finished a new version to break up amethyst into its most usable parts without causing any chipping.

You can see a video of the machine in action on the last page of my writeup...  LucidScience - Gallery Project : ROCK DISAGGREGATOR - Page  1 of  18

It once took hours with a tiny hammer!

I don't recommend anyone play with a quarter million volts, but I thought the project would be interesting to show off.

Cheers!
