It sure looks like a wonderful sample of it.  I have not heard of it being found in Turkey, but there are mines in Greece.

Hi.Very hard to tell from picks.Pyrite (fools gold) and gold sometimes travel to gether.Crush your rock and pan it.Pyrite will tend to flit all over your pan gold will go to the bottom.Just saying.Luck,Mcbain.
